If you have decided to make Thailand your next holiday destination this year, then you will need a little help deciding where to stay. Don’t get me wrong, there is certainly no shortage of amazing places to stay, even though there is incredible and then there is perfection. Why not treat yourself to the last and instead upgrade your vacation into an unforgettable life experience.
In this article, we will explore a few different reasons why you should opt for accommodation in a luxury villa section of a private pool this year as opposed to going to a hotel. Now it's important to keep in mind that there are some of the most beautiful hotels in Thailand in Thailand. I'm not saying you won't be well off if you stay at a hotel. All I'm saying is that the luxury private pool villa is completely something else.
Take it from someone who was really there, do it and get a vest from Chang Beer. I have lived in Thailand for the best part of 3 years and I have every intention of coming back before the year comes out. I stayed in the overall accommodation, believe me – I know what I'm talking about when I say that for Thai luxury villas, villas are simply to die for.
I slept in a small shack on the beach around, but a futon on the floor, with just a broken mozzy net and a slight floor fan to comfort me. And even then, I had the time of my life! So you can imagine my delight as I stepped into one of the most beautiful and oldest settlements I have ever seen …
You feel extra special
Whether you're staying in a bustling hut, a three-star hotel or the best resort in Thailand, you'll get great service, no doubt about it – that's why it's called the land of smiles. Because of the unmatched level of service that Thais have to offer – another reason to choose Thailand as your next vacation destination.
But there is something different when you are staying in a luxury resort … you feel even more special. It's not so much the extra treatment you get, but the fact that you're not crowded in one building. You have space to breathe and marvel in peace and quiet, something you won't be able to experience much if you stay like Bangkok.
You can truly immerse yourself in natural serenity
Yes, I know it sounds crazy, but there's so much truth to it. When you're surrounded by nothing but lush emerald green leaves, stunning fish-tail palm trees and the soothing sea breeze rolling over the Andaman Ocean … you can't catch fire in all that.
About 20% of Thailand is covered by mountains and hills; an astounding number when thinking about how big the country is. It's a wonderful feeling, being dried by beautiful green giants. Most of the time I come across a smile like an idiot, because you are constantly scared of how Thailand really is!
Again, there are many fantastic hotels to choose from, though few can bring you closer to nature as one of Thailand's luxury Thai resorts.
Did anyone say PRIVATE pool?
Remember that when you are staying at the hotel you have to share the pool with other guests. Which is not so bad, because it is a great opportunity to befriend. Although if you ask me, I'd rather be friends at the bar, not befriend, and also potentially hover in my pee!
No, I'd rather have my own private pool, wouldn't I? With just stunning green leaves it quietly spies around you. When you consider that the temperature in Thailand averages 34 degrees in the summer, you'll need it!
Even if you go during May and November called the "rainy season", you will still be looking at temperatures of around 29 degrees (with even higher humidity levels) Having said that, once the storm hits, it would be better to get out of the pool. Although, in the same breath, the view from your villa will be absolutely amazing. I sat and watched the storm in Thailand unfold and it is one of the most inspiring and spectacular events to witness. (As long as it's nice and dry, of course)
Silence …
When you are staying at a hotel, you cannot guarantee who will be in the room next to you. Most of the time you will be fine, though when you are hanging out as hell trying to nurture Bloody Mary in peace, but there is an army of screaming kids jumping in and around the pool … well, you get the idea.
And again, Thailand is not exactly known for its peace and quiet? Whether you believe it or not, there is a lot to enjoy, all you have to do is find the right place.
